In the small barrel there is good wine"...in the hands a small book, the color of the cover we know well...it reminds us of that of an excellent wine and if the proverb, very well known, links the most intense of contacts between wine and wood, here, the link is between the name of the Bard and the pages in which Pier Luigi Coda translates "The Merry Wives of Windsor". a title and a name that does not betray, that bears the sign of a primacy. After "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" and "The True Story of King Lear", here comes "The Merry Wives of Windsor": the living flame of the funny comedy presented to the III A class that, at this point, William Shakespeare begins to seriously know something about. Pier Luigi Coda's "experiments" have not stopped: the magic has repeated itself and, as we know, magic happens if the magician is up to the task and the tricks are well studied: William Shakespeare, the magician, the tricks, the hand of the author. The result: the fragrance of the word (with double meanings to give the sense to the comedy), the effervescence of the story, the small excesses of class III A, the scrupulous, meticulous, rigorous Mrs. Smith married to Brown, the voices of the readers, pure interlocking of sounds and history, exclamations and reflections, the "music" of kids who joke, get passionate, get excited, participate in time, inhabit space, recovering the ever-living past. This is the key.
